CLIMB RULES

Pre-booking of your Extreme Climb session is highly recommended as sessions will fill up quickly. You can try to book on the day of the activity but there will be no guarantee that there will be any available spaces left.

Age

The minimum age for the wall is 4. Members aged 11+ can attend and climb by themselves. 10's and below must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (18+). All Under 16's must be signed in by a parent or guardian (18+). Parents or guardians do not have to climb, however if they want to, must book their own tickets.

Clothing

Only appropriate clothing must be worn. No loose clothing such as  baggy trousers, skirts, hoodies or anything else that might get snagged on a hold.

Only closed toe footwear such as trainers or plimsolls are allowed. Boots, Uggs, formal shoes are not permitted and for safety reasons, barefoot, open toed footwear, sandals, flip flops, climbing or rock shoes are not allowed in the Climbing area.

Jewellery such as watches, necklaces, bracelets and bangles must not be worn. We strongly advise against wearing any other type of jewellery. The wearing of jewellery in the Climbing area is at your own risk. You Must empty your pockets before climbing any walls as items may be lost, broken, or injure others. Lockers are provided for small items (phones, keys, wallets).

Long hair must be tied back.

Certain types of head wear and hair styles will restrict the use of helmets, which are required on some climbs, resulting in this climb not being suitable for use.

Only harnesses and helmets supplied by the centre are permitted for use.

Sessions

You are required to arrive at least 20 minutes before your session, this is to allow time for the harnessing and safety induction process to be completed. Our safety inductions start at 5minutes to the hour. If you miss your safety induction, you will not be permitted to climb.
